  • Maximise the benefits of investment in crop improvement in WA by involvement in the production of superior grain varieties that increase the productivity and net returns of the WA grains industry.
  • Stimulate investment in crop improvement from the private sector, including input from growers.
  • Build strong links between grain producers, research providers, downstream industry and domestic and export customers for grains.
  • Increase collaboration between research providers for the benefit of the grains industry.
  • Consider options for the future funding and management of crop improvement in order to secure a capacity for crop improvement for the WA grains industry into the future.
  • Contract or conduct research in relation to crop improvement.
